Spirit River and District Museum & Historical Society
Located at 4403 - 48 Street, the Spirit River and District Museum is home to several historical buildings including a homestead house, farmhouse, pole shed, school, church, blacksmith shop and dairy milk house.  Different sections of the museum feature unique artifacts such as local newspapers and pictures, tools and harness, household goods, flour mill, planer and sawmill and even a century old horse-driven wooden water well drilling machine.

In the main museum building, there is a post office/general store, a hospital operating room, a railway display and musical and wildlife displays. Established in 1986, the Spirit River and District Museum & Historical Society has preserved and documented the area's culture and heritage.

Hours of Operation:

June 1 through September long weekend, open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.. 

Call for appointment during off season hours! 

Admission is Free!
Donations are always more than welcome.

The museum is truly a first class facility run solely by volunteers.
